Looking ahead to the Milwaukee series

Collin Balester vs. CC Sabathia. NOW that is an intriguing matchup.

My guess is we'll lose that one. Sabathia is truly untouchable right now.

Boone is returning soon. Who will get sent down? Langerhans?

It will give Collin his first really big test. He won the Cy Young last year and is a 3 time All Star.

It's more of a test for our offense, but the Brewers have some big bats for Balester to worry about.

A lot of great pitchers thrive off of pitching against a cy young winner, and turn on their afterburners.
Sure, he has to worry about the offense, but see if he tries to pitch to a whole new level.

Not really. Gonzalez and Langerhans might be the only options.

Do you guys think that Dukes could be a true #3 or #4 hitter by next year?

I do.

I hope you're right. Should be a low scoring game.

I do.

I'm wondering about that b/c if the FO believes he will be by next year, they may hold off on signing/trading for a big bat.

Kearns is really starting to turn it around, also Guzman should be back soon. Maybe not as soon as Zimmerman and Dukes though.

Actually I think Guzman will be back before Zimmerman.

We could really use a nice outing from Redding in Denver to showcase him to the Rockies.

Orr?

True. That's the best option. I still don't even think of that guy as part of this team.

I'm not sure what Boone will bring to this team that we're lacking right now.

and don't forget we'll have to put up with more Wily Mo Pena hype next year.  "he was hurt, he'll hit 40 HRs this year for sure cause he's healthy!".

I can totally see the FO using that as an excuse to not bring a big bat in. :(

I hope we bring in a big bat. I dont want faith in Wily Mo from the FO. He failed this year and used an excuse on his shoulder.

Orr had the biggest hit of the game last night.

I don't think he's complete crap. I just always forget about him even being on the team. I wouldn't even notice him being gone.

Damn. Another Curly W in the books and I missed it. I really wanted to catch the game today but me and the wife had an outing.

Don't go see the new Mummy movie (Tomb of the Dragon Emperor). It sucks.

btw, Belliard > Phillips. Belly accomplished more in 1 pinch hit ab, than Phillips did all series. The reds really looked awful.  the new and improved Nats pounced all over them!
