I'm not terribly impressed with Peacock so far.  I'm wondering whether he got mostly by on his speed in the minors.

Couldn't it have done this in the bottom of the fifth?

Might be a long night. Sucks that the game is tied.

I think we've had the edge of this rain all day in NY, so this game is done...I predict.

He had a single, ground ball to short, and a strike out. Please explain.

Freaking rain is making Peacock sterile.

He actually was credited with giving up two hits.

Only because the umpires tonight were all Desmond's friends and family.

If Peacock comes in with nobody on, the game is 3-0 right now. Slaten has been beyond terrible this year, how do you defend his outing tonight? Wow, 0.1IP and a 6 WHIP at that rate, what a beast.

Can you call a tied game?

I've seen them "continue" a game the next day, and seen them throw it away if the visiting team has to leave town and won't be back until the next season, and if both teams are out of contention for anything.

There have been tie games in the past but they are rare. Astros and Reds had a tie in 2005.

Quit coddling Peacock. Let him sit on the bench and think about it for a few days or better yet send him home to think it through over the off season. No sense in creating more Mock head cases by treating grown men like emotionally undeveloped children. :stir: ;)

Of course not but it also isn't as a big a deal as people are making it out to be. There is value in taking some lumps.

Give him a good hazing before sending him home.  Duct tape, gorilla glue, Gillette quad ultra, sharpie pen, the works.

Yeah, send Peacock home.. are you serious? He's been fine.
