He's not throwing strikes early in the count like he was earlier.. that's hurting him

Hey guys,   how's it going?   And yes, spider - you're right - that is more of a commentary on the women who pick the "not nice" guys.  Usually those ladies have a pretty low opinion of themselves to begin with.

Sounds like Chico's doing a really great job today!  What's the score?

not bad, Matt.. 5 IP 1 ER is decent.  The offense just needs to wake up against an overrated pitcher

Matt was lucky to get out of that inning giving up only one run.  His control isn't nearly as good now as it was at the beginning of the game.

Zito strikes me as one of those pitchers who become much more hittable later into the game. Here's to hoping...

So, I guess that'll be his last inning today?

Nah, Matt still has 2 innings in him I hope.  pitch count is at 66 through 5 which is good

much like how I said Dmitri could hit .350 if he was more patient, Wily Mo Pena could realistically hit 35-40 homers over a season if he was more patient... maybe even more.  The more bad pitches you take, the better pitches you get to hit.

Well from what you all are saying, he needs to settle back down & get better control of his pitches.  w/ only 66 pitches, he still has a lot left!

Zito is dominating.. Don't these guys remember how hard they hit off him a month ago in S.F.?!

Zito's line against WSH (08/07): 5 IP 6 H 4 ER 3 BB 2 SO

Chico's spot is up next. This could very well be his last inning regardless of how he pitches.

Are Zimmerman and Marrero the top HR hitters in our whole system w/ 22?

I know Maxwell's hit at least 20, I'm not sure of the exact number.

Fantastic inning by Chico.. 74 pitches through 6.  His spot leads off this inning.  Tough decision for Manny
