Follow the Prospects: Rick Hague, SS/2B
« Topic Start: June 07, 2011, 09:34:02 AM »
What happened to Rick ?  He was our number 3 selection in last years draft and hasn't played in Potomac since early April.

You may start a Rick Hague watch here if you would like and add his bio.

Everyone knows it's coming. They'll wait till October though and he'll miss the first few months of next year because of it though.

Dude, CatsEye, he was drafted with a bum shoulder, mostly DH'ed this year. No surprises.

Do you have a source? Not trying to be a smart-ass just thought he like Purke and others are in extended spring training to build up strength.

Why doesn't someone cover extended spring for us guys ? is Brian at NFA reviving his blog?

Because it would be extremely boring for that person. Just sitting in the bleachers in Florida every morning to watch guys work out and then play a game at 1 p.m. and have the rest of the day off.

Just an occasional report on who is there and what they are doing? They do play against other teams.

And those aren't real games to begin with. Players can reenter the game or bat leadoff every inning, or only hit or have a 12 man batting order. They are in essence, pick up games.

Those aren't even real pickup games. Kid version of me would have murdered someone on the opposing team if they had one of their batters lead off every inning and bat ahead of the weak hitters multiple times.`

I don't think anything has changed with Hague's ETA of early to mid May return to Potomac.

Speaking of #Nats extended spring training, I stopped by there on Friday and SS Rick Hague looks all the way healed after shoulder surgery.

... Hague, who hit .357/.438/.714 in 4G at Potomac in 2011 before being hurt on a slide, says he's expecting to go to an affiliate any day.

SS Rick Hague, Nats third-rounder in 2010, will make his season debut at Potomac today after starting the year on the DL.
