check the link out....under TV it says MLB.com for the home teams broadcast which leads me to believe they will show something.

This is from MASN:

Davey Johnson may still be relatively new in his tenure as the Nationals' manager, but he's already spouting what has become a familiar recent refrain: "I'm going to be a little short in the bullpen today."

Saturday's doubleheader against the Pittsburgh Pirates has the potential to tax even the most rested relief corps. But the Nats are already a man down after right-hander Henry Rodriguez was sent home because of strep throat.

"I think he came in, was looked at and (head athletic trainer Lee Kuntz) sent him home so he doesn't infect the rest of us," Johnson said.

Luckily, Friday starter Tom Gorzelanny went seven innings, meaning the bullpen had to cover only two innings. Coming off Thursday's off day after traveling back from Anaheim, Calif., and the Nationals relievers should be well-rested. Tyler Clippard needed only 12 pitches to get through the eighth inning and Drew Storen threw just seven pitches in the ninth before picking up the victory.

Johnson said he's not averse to using relief pitchers in both ends of a doubleheader, and Saturday's single-admission structure - as opposed to a day/night arrangement where players have a few hours to kill between games instead of 20 to 30 minutes - could conspire to test that strategy.

Game 1 starter Livan Hernandez has worked at least six innings in 13 of his 18 outings this season and Game 2 starting pitcher John Lannan has hit that mark nine times in 18 tries. In his last two appearances, Lannan has worked 5 2/3 innings.

The 3:35 PM game makes up the game postponed by projected rain (that never materialized.)  It's at 3:35 PM to be able to have a 2-for-1 price double header.  They couldn't do that if it were scheduled at 1:00 PM, as there would be a 3-hour wait until the 7:05 PM game.

I don't expect this to be carried on MLB-TV because nobody is broadcasting it.  Bob Carpenter and MASN repeatedly said they cannot broadcast it, as Fox has exclusive rights for that time slot today. Fox is broadcasting the Yankees vs. the Mets. The Nationals chose a true double-header to make up this game, giving up the TV rights.

Charlie Slowes & Dave Jagler do a great radio pre-game show and broadcast.

nationals.com lists you can watch the game online @ mlb.tv.

I think it's an error.  Who is doing the play-by-play and color commentary?  If MASN cannot do it, and they said that, nobody from Pittsburgh can either.

again, it could be the scenario where they show the scoreboard feed and have charlie/dave do the audio broadcast.

Even though MASN can't show the game live, Bob and FP should still do the game for later broadcast.  I've paid for mlb.tv.  I should be able to see the game, AT SOME POINT!

I would really like that. 106.7 isn't a terrible solution for free.

McCutchen is a superstar CF and they have a pretty good bullpen (though they only used one of their good relievers against us yesterday, and he got three consecutive strikeouts).  They have been getting offense and pitching from surprising places.  Most of all, though, they're incredibly lucky--they're something like six wins above their expected record.

What are you using for expected record? It doesn't seem too far off here:

Also, wow there are a lot of .500ish teams.

Dumb comment.  The guy's been pitching great.
He pitched pretty bad last game.

but it's not 3:35 yet.

i don't understand why nationals.com/mlb.com would keep pumping mlb.tv for access to the game today if it won't work.

dude just because nobody is televising it doesn't mean they won't show it.  i'm not saying they are going to, but haven't you ever watched a college basketball game online with the scoreboard feed and the team's radio pbp guy doing the audio?

you don't know everything lol.

It played me a bit but then it came up that it was blacked out due to the fox thing.  But I have a feeling there will be an archive to watch later.
