Mike Shanahn took an injury depleted roster with a rookie backfield and won 7 in a row to make the playoffs.

Today sucked but I absolutely love the direction this team is going.

I'd like it more if I had faith that a running qb with bad knees (don't forget surgery at baylor)  could make it through a season

And he lost the first playoff game this city has seen on over a decade by sticking with a qb who was limping

Look at the Nats and Strasburg.

Damned if you, damned if you don't.

I'd compare it more to stocking with an obviously ineffective Jackson or storen in an elimination game

The field conditions were horrendous every player out there was at an increased risk of a major injury. Good job by ownership. Way to step up. DC Pride

They have been using it for home field advantage all year.

I never agreed with it from the first. Joe Buck said it was mud painted green, but Joe Buck knows nothing about anything, so I discounted it. I'm glad I didn't spend 150 bucks on bad seats for this crapshow.

Yup.  RG3 sounds delusional in the post-game too. Best option?  You couldn't run or throw and you're the QB dude.

Did FedEx host more games this year than in the past?  That field looked like trash.

AGREED. He was not accurate throwing last week and averaged less than 5 yards per attempt today.

Shanahan didn't need to ask RG3 how he felt at halftime.  Everyone watching this game could see that he was ineffective.  Shanhan made a reference in the post game interview about having "learned something today" about that for the future.  Hopefully, he learned that RG3 cannot be trusted on this matter. While RG3 has been a model in press conferences, he would rather lose the game, playing hurt, than for the team to win after he's been removed, because he is ineffective.

Stephen Strasburg and Robert Griffin III: The inevitable and cloying comparison

Shanahan will probably be buried in some corners for playing Griffin, just as Rizzo was blasted for sitting Strasburg. There are, again, enough differences that you could do both without being a hypocrite. Maybe Rizzo will gain some sympathy. Maybe not. It’s all noise for now, and until the next time horsehide hisses in Viera or toe meets leather in Ashburn, it will all just feel so damn sad.

exactly - they won because of Lynch and because RG3 was hurt - Wilson was unimpressive

Wilson was more than impressive. He's been impressive all season. He's easily on the same level of RG3 already.

You say Lynch? Our RB was better. Our receivers are better.

I didn't see any greatness on the part of Wilson this game.  Seattle failed to score a TD on many drives and took advantage of a break from RGIII's injury

Wilson was more than impressive. He's been impressive all season. He's easily on the same level of RG3 already.
