Yeah ... broken arm and broken leg in three places? Could have been MUCH WORSE ... he was already rehabbing a torn acquilles ...and released by the Giants - could be the end of his career - just awful

That's throwing gas for sure ... one thing about that though ... if you can get your bat on it - it will go a LONG way ...

Nice hit by Churchie there ...

As a future note for Gameday threads: you don't have to post lineups and such when making the thread; just say something like "Emergency Thread".  I'd rather people do that and the thread be on time then it start ten minutes too late.  By the way, thanks n2p for covering for me today :)

Well word on the block, was that he was strongly considering retirement this off-season. Maybe this will make his dicision easier. I hope he gets better and heals quickly. I'll never forget him for ending the great Troy Aikamns career, but he's a real down-to-earth guy and real nice in person.

I always liked Lavar too ... will always be a Redskin to me ... he's opening a Restaurant in the area, so I hope it does well and I hope he never rides a motorcycle again ...

You think like me. Plenty of positives in almost every Nats game this year. The negatives, I believe, will work themselves out.

And I'm not glad they plated nine runs, and owned Matt Chico :?

Why waste a Rauch appearnce here. Manny must still believe we can win. Zimmerman did hit a grandslam in the ninth before.

Off-Topic: lol, gotta luv Cryme Time.

It wasn't all Chico's fault.  The defense screwed him hard in the early innings.  Chico did fall apart however in the 5th.  The Tigers are the best offense in baseball so you couldn't expect him to do too well tonight.  I'm afraid they are going to be all over Simontacchi's high 80s fastball tomorrow as well.

There are a LOT of things I don't like, mostly the defensive gaffes that basically cost 5 runs - could be 5-4 right now for the Nats ...
