What GM isn't going to demand the world for pitching help? Hell we gave up a player for a guy that was DFA'd in the NL (we would of had first shot at the WW). We should have gone after mid range pitchers when the price was dropping in the winter. But Kasten said we weren't going to go after pitching.
Yeah i was unclear on the purpose of trading for him . . .

Lets face it we are a .500 team!! The hitters are awesome. the Starting rotation is getting it done. Not only does the bullpen need to put it together, but Manny and his staff needs to up their game too!!! The crowds will return if the Nats return!!

Someone found my mushroom stash!!!

Go Nats!

[Rizzo has to dump some of these guys like NJ right now while they are still healthy and producing well. Get us pitching you fool!

OK ....we dump NJ and get some relievers. Who the hell is going to play first. Young? Belliard? Eldred.? or a freakin committee? The offense is doing great. Who was available that is doing well NOW ? Last year we could have had Kyle Lohse and Tomterp was screaming for us to pick him up. Martinez at 4-5 mil.? Give me some names that could be better than the crap we have in the 'pen that you would sign off on if it was your job that was on the line..
Dump NJ and play Dunn at first. He would suffice. AK and Willingham get more starts in the OF.

Rizzo is worse than Bowden at dumpster diving. Kensing is horrid. I thought we were just going to trade for him to stash in AAA. He does not belong here over Bergmann.

Bergmann has gotten freaked so bad this year by Rizzo.

No. J-Zimm takes his lumps and our offense gets stalled by crappy Wellemeyer.

Bergmann hasn't been on either of the gm's good side b/c of his walks and his inconsistency.  one start he'd look like a cy young winner, next start he'd be beachball.

well clearly. he's much better suited for the pen. He was doing fine in AAA and wasn't up here long enough to show what he's got. I trust him over pretty much everyone in the pen right now as scary as that sounds.

i like our offense, but i agree that we roll over/don't take advantage of facing the likes of a welleymeyer/kawakami/etc.

C. I'm going to see the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra play music I don't even really like rather than watch the Nationals.

Sadly, though I love Jordan's starts, I have company tonight and we are going to be getting plastered.

Spinman's just a very positive person. It's nice to have posters that are upbeat, since the rest of us act like horse's asses most of the time.

A poster under the name SBF joined in February. No postings, but constantly lurks because you can see the name in the Members Online list.

I haven't given up on Lannan.

Lannan's on the edge of losing it mentally.  He knows the Nats placing him in the number 1 slot is a joke and seeing him going up against the other "real" number 1's and having his lunch handed to him each and every time is wearing him down. He's really suited as a 4 and whether he's around when the Nats start fielding a real team is a question mark because some of these guys are just fodder and will fall by the wayside as we all wait for the draft picks to mature and move up.

Which is why you get a veteran to take the pounding. That's what Odalis Perez brought to the table.
