by the way, love how livan has thrown 8 innings, and still looks like he just woke up.   If you are 13 years and 40,000 innings removed from a WSMVP, does anything really phase you?

I've been thinking about this. I actually like his mechanics. He never seems to overthrow the ball. It's odd looking, but it's a pretty smooth delivery.

Yeah the mechanics are very sound.  I was thinking more along the lines of being a power arm combined with the fact that he racks up high pitch counts night in and night out.  I actually don't think he will see much problems for a few more years, though.

I feel bad because I called into Rob's show today and said that Livo would get the win.

I'm representing the entire country for their 'out pitch' segment.

The high pitch counts never worry me. If you are consistent w/ your mechanics, you can last a while. Getting a pitcher used to that consistency while in the Minors should be priority #1. It seems MLB organizations worry too much about pitch counts.

This has to be nearing his last batter. He's over 120 pitches now
