She was married when we first met
Soon to be divorced
I helped her out of a jam, I guess,
But I used a little too much force.
We drove that car as far as we could
Abandoned it out West
Split up on a dark sad night
Both agreeing it was best.
She turned around to look at me
As I was walkin' away
I heard her say over my shoulder,
"We'll meet again someday on the avenue,"
Tangled up in blue.

Great CD. I've been really into the Desire CD lately, especially the song Isis. He tells a great story.

I'm trying to decide between loud and bludgening, upbeat and poppy, or calm and soothing. On Mondays, I feel like I need all three.

I might just put the ipod on shuffle later.

I bet I'm the only one here who listens to a CD by another poster.

Alexpm, from the MLB board, gave me a CD of his when we met at the Ballester reception.  Warren Zevonesque, sans werewolf.

I wouldn't know. Rap blows.

I listen to Rock (Lots of Alternative) only.

But isn't Taylor Swift crap that 13 year-old teenage girls listen to?

Not at all. Just about every guy I know loves her. She's a big-time country artist (age 18) and has already won a bunch of awards. She's country but has a mix of rock and pop in her songs, but the themes are all country and the songs sound like country. She's really talented and she's smokin hot. Not Carrie Underwood level, but maybe one day.

New Nickelback album titled "Dark Horse" comes out tomorrow. I've already downloaded the whole album off of Frostwire. I've only listened to most of the songs once or twice though so I haven't decided if I like it yet or not.

"Lonely Is the Night" by Billy Squier

It disturbs me how much he sounds like Robert Plant on this song.

I love rock, classic and modern - classic moreso.

IMO, Nickelback is the by far the worst band in the history of Roadrunner Records, and that includes nu-metal garbage like Ill Nino. But if you like em, more power to you.

Most albums can be had in Mp3 format for 9 dollars or so from Amazon - support your favorite artists.

Worst band in the history of roadrunner records? Yeah, ok. They continuously pump out hit after hit.

And thus my point is proven. But if you like em, that's great.

Huh? That makes no sense.

Other bands that have had hits:

The Heights (cancelled TV show, fictional band had a big radio hit)
The Archies (Supposedly Archie and Jughead's band -not kidding)
Winger
The Spice Girls

People like bad music

but I said they were the worst IN MY OPINION - your opinion is just that - argue all you want, you won't convince me

Also Roadrunner has produced a lot of really great albums - it's not like I said they were the worst boy band
