Don Sutton.

I met Sutton at Nats Park. Guy was a complete jerk. He never wanted to be in DC.

That doesn't surprise me.  Glad he's gone.

Escobar did have a ton of talent. Too bad he was made of glass.

Yeah, he was really good when healthy.  Unfortunately, in comparison, even somebody like Wang looks like the Cal Ripken of pitchers.

I don't feel so bad about our current injuries when I think of how much of our best (admittedly thin) talent seemed like it was always injured.

2005:

Ron Darling and Mel Proctor

2006:

Did Comcast carry MASN at all during the 2005 season? I remember not being able to watch the games that weren't on channel 50 at my place because I couldn't get RCN. Watched quite a few games in bars that year.

interesting article, maybe some current former Nats make it to the Hounds next year?

Hope so  ...  I live in the Hounds' hood.

Cincy still has Bill Bray from that trade.

I thought that trade was a complete steal for the Nats when it went down. Looking back on it now, it really wasn't.

Only some of the games, I recall seeing a few games with Ron Darling and Mel Proctor, but I think there was also some stupid block from the Orioles Owner in reguards to broadcasting games. Back then Comcast only carried some of the MASN games. I just know I was ticked at the time because of the only partial TV broadcasts at the time. I guess it was 06 or 07 when Crumbcrust finally made a full season deal with MASN.

The other day I drove past Bergmann Road and thought "aw, man, Jason Bergmann... I wonder how he'd do in a game these days."

Best part of 2009 was Rob Dibble just ranting about suck azz needle dicks like [insert most of the team other than Dunn Willingham Zimmerman].

We were so completely awful in every way. FP Santangelo would have jumped out of the window of the Nats Park press box within the first 50 games if he had watched that team.

Today is July 27th.  If the Nats lose their remaining 62 games, they will match their worst record in the current Washington's franchise history.
