Damn, I missed it.  I've had MLB Network on the TV to get live updates on TVR's first start in a Mets uni.

In a direct SLAP to Nationals' Official Fan-Hating Apologist Phil Wood, Bob Carpenter announced that the Nationals were now "on a pace to win 48 games this year."

An 11-26 record now puts Washington on a pace to
Win 48 and Lose 114 games in 2009.

I'm tempted to wear a paper bag on my head at the game tomorrow night.  I enjoyed the all-time NHL-worst expansion Caps in their first two seasons a lot more than this.

The AP writer had a fun time with this one.

"The sparse crowd of 14,549 indicated that many in the D.C. area were unaware of the significance of the game, the first in major league history to have two starting pitchers with the first name Ross."

That reminded me of that commercial with the parrot  "I can't take this anymore"

First we break a record for largest pitching matchup in history and now the first battle of the Ross's!

What other records can we manage to break/create this year?

Different Mochrie

(Image removed from quote.)

Colin Mochrie is a very talented man.  I saw his live touring show with Brad Sherwood (who I like even better than Colin) - HYSTERICAL
