How does one post an image to this thread?

type in the link to an image, then enclose it with IMG tags ([/img] after the link, [img] before the link)

or you can just highlight the link to the image and press ALT+P, which automatically encloses the link with image tags.  I'll be happy to make up some examples for you.

Hopefully once I get the matter of storage figured out for the attachment plugin, you can simply upload images directly to the site.

Think we should keep this link active all the time...it's going to display the construction of the new stadium as it goes along...

Much thanks Chief!

Last season, I bought my daughter a full set of the Nats inaugural season baseball cards.  With inarguable logic, she laid them out on the floor, and settled immediately on Zach Day as her favorite.  It was a hard lesson in the realities of life on the day Zach was traded to Colorado last year.

Thought we've been to a few games as a family, today was the first time just she and I were able to go.  It was our extreme good fortune that the Nats picked up Day this year, and so it became our mission today to get his autograph on her most treasured card.

We entered promptly at stadium opening today, and went directly to autograph row.  (We got to watch some of the Nats actually having a batting practice, a rare event).  Nobody had gotten a single autograph, when I spotted Zach walking out of the dugout towards the outfield.  I called to him by name, he looked and I pointed at my daughter, who was waiving his card, and told him "#1 fan", pointing at her.  He came right over, and signed her card, and allowed me to take the picture.  She was ecstatic.  He signed about 10 more autographs before heading out.

5 minutes later, she got a ball from Jose Guillen (who never had any other interaction with any fans) and our day was nearly complete, with only the requisite Nats victory to cap it off.  A great day at the ballpark!

This is Andrew, my almost 7 yo, aka TFS from the other board.  I took him to Saturday's game against the Cubs to help celebrate my dad's 60th b-day.

Thanks Ken for making this pic post "able".  I really appreciate it.  For those of you who visit the other board and are up on what's going on w/ TFS, if you look closely at his neck, you can see all those lumps.  He really gave us a view.

As for Screech, he enjoyed seeing him, but he turned his head because of the stench.  They apparently need to dry clean that thing a bit more frequently!

Teddy making the rounds at RFK.  It's no wonder he could never win a race, he was always more interested in schmoozing with the fans than in actually racing.

I couldn't figure out how to post this, so Tomterp's doing it for me.  Thought I share a pic of my three kiddos since y'all have heard me yabber about them so much.  Meet my munchkins, from left to right, 4 yo Juliana, 7 yo Andrew (aka TFS) and 5 yo Elisa.  Sorry for the graininess of the pic.  My dad took it on Sunday and emailed to me.

Andrew's hair is growing back now.  He goes back to the oncologist tomorrow for a big blood check.  The doctor said that as of the week before Christmas he is done w/ treatment, the cancer is completely all gone.  He still has to be treated as an oncology patient for the entire year.  So, instead of calling the pediatrician, we call the oncologist.  A high fever will still land him in the hospital, etc.....  But the cancer is gone, praise God!

Thanks for all your support and many, many, many prayers!

Love,
Kim

Awwww (sorry for the cliche) That is absolutely wonderful news. I'm glad the holiday season brought more than gifts to you and your family. The next year will fly by (hopefully for both of us because I'm a senior next year [not senior citizen, a senior in high school ])

They all look so happy in that picture. My thoughts and prayers out to you and yours. Thanks for the update!! Take care.

I finally got around to doing this.
Since many are considering going to ST, I thought I would post a few
of the many photos I took last year to give a flavor of what it looks
like and how close you get to the action.

I took a lot more, but just wanted to get a sample out there.

Seventh inning Chicken Dance (people standing at the rail in the background are looking down on the bullpen)

Randy talks to a friend from down in the bullpen

Rauch warms up in bullpen with Randy

Livo and Ramon watch Royce at bat

Harris signs autographs on 1st base side (this is where people line up for autographs)
