ANOTHER ZIM HOMER. With Chipper Jones threatening more injury time-out time, I started Zimmerman in the Forum Head-2-Head league, against Sens'.  I also have Lowe and Saito, the Dodgers' closer.

Nationals 4
Dodgers 2

I groaned when Bascik started the game walking the leadoff batter, but he's hanging in there...

It's a sign of our recent woes that I'm less concerned about Bascik and more concerned about our bullpen :?

Kearns has been baffled by breaking balls in the last 2 ABs.  horrid AB by Church

bad, bad inning.  Apparently, Ryan Church is upset about not being the starter anymore.  Well, you wouldn't know from his performance tonight.

Quote
Church acknowledged that he is frustrated about being on the bench. The arrival of Wily Mo Pena is the reason Church has seen his playing time decreased. Church made it into Tuesday's game in place of Pena, who injured his ankle in the second inning.
"I would like to have more home runs. What can you do? Of late, I'm been trying to get everything back with one swing -- trying to get eight home runs, but those things happen," Church said. "Everybody's numbers are down. It sounds like a broken record, but there are no excuses."

meh. Church will not even be a factor in the outfield, if our Offseason goes as well as I hope it does.

If our offseason goes as well as I hope it does, I will not be able to defend Church as an option to start in our outfield.

If I am here next year defending Church because I feel he is the best option, I will be highly disappointed in our FO.

2 pitches, 2 hits... And Bacsik's bad pitching is finally coming back to hurt him.

Do not give up that run at 3rd!

One out and no runs is better than two outs and a run!!!
