UVA is the losing VA school this week so far?

Proof that they didn't deserve to be in this year.

I didn't think they should have made it necessarily. It was clear down the stretch that UVA wasn't playing like they were early in the season and that they weren't a tourney team.

Eh, it's kind of inbetween "fick" and "freak", but yeah, definitely not "folk"

As an old radio guy, there is a very good reason they're saying Nor-folk.    All these guys hit it.   I'm sure the producers and CBS (et. al.) made sure that all the announcers knew how the NCAA wanted it pronounced.    It's like harass.     There is no pronunciation as  hur-ass.   It's always hair-is.   Always.

Admitted bias but 5 over 12 is pretty good this year as well.    Richmond to Tidewater is puttin' out some college hoops over the last couple of years  .. VCU, ODU, NSU, Richmond ...

That upset by Norfolk St probably crumbled a lot of brackets. Florida is very similar to Missouri so Norfolk St has the blueprint to bounce them out as well.

Norfolk State has the tallest group of starters in the West bracket.  They start 4 seniors and one sophomore. Florida relies on the 3-point-shot, but Norfolk State may be able to stuff their guards, including Fla State's only starting senior, 5' 8" Erving Walker.

Florida beat Florida State, Miss Valley St and Alabama (twice).  Norfolk State lost twice to Marquette, whom they could meet in the next round, if they beat Florida and Marquette beats Murray State.

Patriot League winner Lehigh is hanging in there with Duke.  Last team to beat Lehigh was American U in DC.  Lehigh crushed us in the semifinal 85-66 and then beat Patriot League conference winner Bucknell 82-77 in front of Bucknell's 4,300 fans.

In the 2012 NIT, Bucknell was seeded #8 and beat #1 Arizona on Arizona's home court. Their 6'11 Mike Muscella and Lehigh's C. J. McCollum are both juniors, but they were great last year too.  Either team could get a better NCAA seed in 2013.

EDIT: Duke has 3 starters with 4 fouls with 6:14 left...
Lehigh 53, Duke 49

They may also get the CAA bids/seeds ..  one.   The BCS of basketball will not allow it.   It's fixed.

Disgusting! Miss two free throws from an 80% shooter and then a foul on a 3 point shot.
