Desmond is batting .265 with a barely-over-.300 OBP.  What's your point?  It's not a big secret that we have a pretty soft lineup.

The point is that you can't score if your lineup features out machines at top. How about Bernadina at leadoff, Zim at 2nd, Dunn 3rd, Hammer cleanup.

We'd better be in the Cliff Lee hunt this off-season!  I will stop supporting this team if they don't give him top complement.

Please tell me you're joking.  It was a simple case of underestimating the speed of the runner.

How do you underestimate Juan Pierre's speed? That is the only thing he has going for him. It's like someone saying they underestimated Barry Bonds power in the steroids era. Strasburg might be living in a cave. This is where him not watching TV or looking at scouting reports hurts him. If he did, he would have known he was fast.

"Was" being the operative word.  3 weeks ago, dumbass.
Plus the fact that he's still got an avg of what, .298 now?  Even with the bad stretch, that shows just how hot his bat was in the beginning.

Man our offense really sucks when the top of the order is 2-3 guaranteed outs. We can't get any rallies going.

I advocated Bernadina at leadoff not long ago.  Can't speak to the 2-spot, but I seriously doubt you're going to see Zimmerman there anytime soon.

It's his third major league game dude.
