If we spoil this amazing rare 1st inning explosion it's gonna be very sad.

Derek Lee looks older than Julio Franco in his picture.

And Michael Barrett looks like the joker!

I hope that when the Cubs come back to D.C. there is absolutely no reaction to Alfonso. When the announcer says his name treat it like they announced some random players name. No clapping, no booing. He was basically useless to our franchise and stayed for 1 year.
If I go to a Cubs game this year I am going to stand up and clap for Alfonso.  Other than Zimmerman he was pretty much the only thing that kept the games exciting.  He just had a magical year that I will never forget.  Smashing homers, stealing bases, and throwing out runners.  I do not blame him at all for taking the money and going to Chicago.  Everyone else would have done the exact same thing.

By the way, there was no way I could do the gameday thread today, because I was at work, and at my firm they only want you doing work-related things, especially on the computer.  So that explains why I haven't made 100% of the threads.

i agree - he gave us more than anyone expected - even tho, except for a stretch of about 10 games, he never really carried the team. cant blame him for taking twice the money the Nats were offering

Kearns is launching homers lately.  A three-run HR in the first today; he did the same thing not too long ago.

Man, i wish it could've been Hill vs Hill on Saturday. Instead its Patty vs Hill. Oh well, would've been cool.

You're a Nationals fan and you can't imagine a reason to use that smiley?  Surely you jest!

shows somebody running (as in being scared)...never found a reason for somebody being scared and running around.  Maybe back when we had Guillen there would have been a better use for it.   ;)
