This is why I'm down on Martis.  4 walks in 4 innings? :spaz: Not to mention he's horribly inefficient with pitches.  83 in 4 innings ain't gonna get it done.
against the Yankees in HR paradise. I'll take 4 IP 1 ER anytime. Just needs to keep the score the same. Martis is making big pitches with runners on base to prevent if from being blown open.

it's not his fault our offense/defense suck.

How embarrassing would it be if we leave NY without hitting one bomb in that bandbox?

I bet they'll hit one when they are losing like 10-0 one night or something.

Ortiz is back on the juice. He probably knew he would be tested in early May and then got back on the cycle and the results are just now starting to show.

Nieves is the most consistent flukey hitter I think I've ever seen.

Sounds as if you're implying that Zimmerman and Johnson are unprofessional. It's not like Zimmerman hasn't made those types of throws throughout his career. What about the great plays he has made recently? As for Johnson, that ball was scorched. He's lucky he got out of the way of that one in one piece.

Not unprofessional, just unmotivated, flat.  Zimmerman has improved his throwing a lot this year, but as Dibble observed, it's simply a lack of focus when you're making the easy throw not under pressure.

On Johnson, he's had a number of opportunities in the last week to make a good defensive play, but has failed on every one.  He even overran a pop fly and dropped it.  Nick has been my favorite player since the team moved here, but I am disappointed in his defense this season regardless.

Rockies have won 11 in a row after firing their manager - we should try that.

Don't celebrate sportsfan. You don't deserve to celebrate. Go tighten the barb wire around your balls to feel better.
