I followed the Reds when Dibble played for them and he has always been a bit of a jerk. If you recall he was involved in a clubhouse fight with Lou Pinella early in his career. It looks like he hasn't gotten over his immature ways in his role as a broadcaster.

The funny thing is Dibble's career ended due to an arm injury. It sounds like he listened to the same brilliant advice that he gave Strasburg.

I'm starting to wonder if he is on a week long bender with Charlie Sheen. ;)

I really hope he is not gone. The games are just not the same on MASN. The dry duo is going to drive me nuts if this is the long term solution.

Yeah.  How dare the color commentator offer meaningful insight into the game instead of random posturing and contradicting himself often in the same at-bat.

My biggest complaint about Dibble was his abuse of the pitch track. He would always complain about a pitch being a ball or strike, no matter what the pitch track said.

What's the point of showing the graphic if the color guy is just going to argue with it, anyways?

Cannons your ability to ignore the meaning and proceed directly to your preconceived biases remains unrivaled.

It is not the content, it is Knight's pacing and cadence which I think blends poorly with Carpenter. If they were to keep Knight, I hope they find someone else for play by play. I think they are a poor duo; either is fine alone. At this point, I'd rather keep Carpenter as he has been here longer and he has grown on me.

It is quite possible that some people are confusing Dibble with this guy.

Careful, you're about to become an imbicile, or a moron, or both.     :?

Then again, why should you be exempt?    :P

What happened to the O's play by play guy?  I haven't heard him lately when O's games came on after the Nats post game.  I was also playing MLB 2K9 and noticed that he was the play by play voice actor on that game

Not true because none of your examples provided come preceded with an expletive of some sort.

Do you mean Gary Thorne? I think he was working the LLWS the past couple weeks. I know I heard him on one of the games.

Yeah, Thorne.  He seems like a pretty good play by play guy.

It would be interesting to give Paul Lo Duca a shot at the job. I'd like to hear him do color for a few games.

I'm starting to think Dibble is not coming back. :(

Yes.
No.  I don't get to watch most games, I'm at work, so I listen to the radio broadcast.  You can't have him.

Paul LoDuca was great in the Booth while injured.

If we're going to drop the bar, why not Elijah Dukes?  He could get all blinged out and rhyme about the softball girls.

Need to see the demo video or two first. He might rap badly in a sweater like Milledge.

First of all: FJB & Mottram for starters have not liked Dibble since he's been here. They have written not so nice things about Dibble all the time. Look it up.

Second, this guy on Capitol Punishment wants Ray Knight to replace Dibble:

http://dcbb.blogspot.com/2010/08/knight-in-shining-eh-whatever.html

Reading some other comments on here supporting Ray Knight on here is another disturbing note. Why would you want Knight? Just because he's not Dibble? You'll get tired of his stammering and hacking of the English language eventually, anyway. Why not just find someone else?

As far as Lo Duca goes, that might not be a bad idea. He's doing TVG right now, but he's been shuffled around from track to track doing reporting. Reading some on the TVG community, they don't like him too much. Maybe he would be a good fit here.

Rob Dibble sucked as an analyst.

we couldn't drop the bar if we tried.
