Obviously, otherwise how would Kirk have saved us from the Whale penis probe?

I didn't think there was an actual star trek thread, aside from the one about the new movie a few years ago

Do we need a separate Harry Potter thread or is fantasy allowed to mix with sci-fi here?

Time travel definitely exists.

But how does Time Travel exist if we haven't experienced anyone traveling or any of its effects!?

I've never watched anything related to Star Trek.  Have I been missing anything?

Earth / Sol / Rigel / Betelgeuse or Antares / VY Canis Majoris?

Let's get back to discussing time travel.  I'm sure there are some overpaid administrivia agents that can tell us it doesn't exist.

*yawn* do we have to do this again?

anyone see the crescent moon, venus, and Jupiter alignment this evening?  Absolutely beautiful.   You are supposed to be able to see mercury as well.  This alignment won't happen again for another 29 years.

lol seeing VY Canis Majoris is just SOOOOOOOOO ridiculous. There's no way to compute how huge it is (aka yes there is). I feel like if we placed it where SOL is now It'd at least reach out towards Neptune.

The Shuttle just flew right over my office building while we were waiting for it in a meeting room with big ass windows. Sick.

Sure was.   I'm right on the SW Waterfront.   I was surprised the first pass came down river.
