If any of you have a free spot in a league, give me a shout. I have no money so can't buy in, but LOVE Fantasy, so let me know!

Anyone want to create a league?

I use both ESPN and Yahoo (prefer ESPN, but I could care less either way).

Interest doesn't seem to be that high this year unfortunately.

I used to be huge into fantasy, but my interest seems inversely related to the Nats chances in a given year. That and most of the podcast/blogs that I really liked have turned into crap over the last few years

I was usually all about this but I've recently joined two money leagues in the past couple of years so my interest has focused towards those.

CBS sends out a news story recapping your draft, it's awesome.  Here's a tidbit from one of mine:

Quote
Your best pick up of the draft was Stephen Strasburg, who was expected to have been selected in the 26th slot, but who you got with pick #50. However, you mixed in some (minor) duds as well, the worst of whom was Ian Desmond, taken 12 spots ahead of what his average draft position suggests.

I took desmond in round 3 of a 14 team HtH league (drafting 7th). Reyes, Segura, and Tulo were already off the board.  Weak SS class this year.

Had my AL roto auction today.  very deep league (12 teams, 14 hitters, 9 pitchers), 4x4, up to 15 keepers.   This year, there was about 10% extra $/player sloshing around after keepers and virtually  nothing in the farm draft.   for #$260, I think the balance is pretty good (kept - k; draft - d):

C - Gomes 2 (k), Norris 3 (k)
1b - Tex 11 (k), Fielder 31 (d)
2d Dozier 5 (k)
ss - Reyes (31 d), Jeter (6 d)
3b Middlebrooks (10 k)
OF - Adam Jones (36 k), Dyson (4 k), Choo (32 d), Gentry (3 d), Carp (1 d)
DH - Ibanez (2 d)

p - Kuroda (17 d), Salazar (7 k), Nova (3 k), Ubaldo (2 k), G. Richards (1 k), Crain (10 k), Fields (10 k), Nathan (26 d), Cecil (2 d).

Farm - Rondon (k), Cecchini (d), Karns (d)

Reserved Crain, picked  up Britton.

Farm was really picked over, so I grabbed Karns with the last pick.  Happiest with Fielder, Reyes, Nathan, Gentry of the draftees.  Need Reyes  and Gentry to get healthy fast.  That happens, I've got a strong SB team, with decent average  I think.  I don't have the complete box on Houston's closer, but that looks pretty good and is on top of Nathan.  Power is a concern unless Tex surprises (big doubts on that) and someone like Ibanez makes an impact.

not a bad team for that kind of league, pitching is a bit weak, keep your eye out for closers.

I'm thinking Garrett Richards could have a break out year.  he's always had stuff.  control is a little off, but he had a very good stretch late last year and two very nice starts so far.

The FIRST game today, Monday April 21, 2014 is at 11:05 AM, Baltimore Orioles at Boston Red Sox.

It's the Annual Mess Up Fantasy Baseball Players Day.

It's also Patriots Day in Boston, commemorating the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775. These were the first battles of the American Revolutionary War.

It's also the day of the Boston Marathong.

12 Team mixed? My advice: Quit. Find a 12 team AL or NL only league and challenge yourself.
