z-man's having himself a pretty good defensive game outside the one close play where he couldn't get the throw down.

The ump lost the strike zone.

That's even truer.

Zimmerman when throwing looks like he should be in black and white on ESPN Classic and passing to Raymond Berry

I saw that play and it's my assertion that proves my point.  That looked like a guy "steering" the ball instead of throwing it.  Classic indication that missing a target is in his head and not in his abdomen.

It's in his head that it hurts when he throws.  Why are you in doubt?

He's changed his throwing motion to avoid the pain, period.

Had Lannan stayed in and gave up the lead people would be nagging about Riggleman leaving him in too long.

oh there's spidertroll.

he was less than 90 pitches and dealing dude.  we could've stuck with him.  we got the three outs, nice, but still he was pitching well enough to go at least 7 or into the 7th, imo.

He's smart enough to leave room to toss to Ramos should Ichiro have kept going, but he (Ichiro) assumed the throw and tried in vain to avoid the tag.

I would't have waited so long, but Zimm played it well.

Dave description also made it sound like Zimm dropped the linedrive so perhaps Ichiro was scurrying back toward the bag thinking the ball was caught?

I don't know how you can even discern that given Lannan's unchanging facial expressions.

:phew: Now score more runs.

True. He always looks to be on the verge of tears.

Lannan's ERA now sits at 3.40 after 92.2 IP.

He had a 5.23 ERA last year after 92 IP.

Werth, Zimmerman nor Morse have hits against a lefty.  That's unacceptable.
