Yep, bad job allowing a hit and walk with no outs but you have to remember that Manny didn't give him a chance to work out of it.  He brought in Munoz who promptly gave up the long ball.

But it was Luis who set the table, in reverse.

Why couldn't you just take the strikeout, Tony??  Jeez, he has sucked lately.

I don't like batting Batista for Fick.  Lefty righty be damned, Fick is red hot right now and he gets taken out of the game.  Don't like it at all.

It was more like Batista used us.  GIDP.

Some of those bats weigh more than Nook.

Well, Nook isn't going to hit a homerun.  Church might have.  And a homerun is what you need if this game goes into extra innings.

Well, we won't likely won't have to worry about extra innings.   :|

O well, this series imo is def overlooked to me by the upcoming series with the Mutts. Just win the final game at RFK and I'll be satisfied.

This is shaping up as one of the most embarrassing losses of the season, just because of the 7th inning and the fact that we haven't scored against one of the worst bullpens in baseball.

Why did Schneider hit against a lefty? Cannot believe we haven't scored since the 2nd inning.  6 (soon to be 7) straight scoreless innings for an atrocious bullpen

Nook hit ONE (1) Homer in 2006 and in 2005.  He has zero in 2007 so he's due.  We're playing the Phillies.  They are damned.  Their only actual hope for redemption is if they boo the living hell out of McNabb on Sunday.

losses stoppped becoming embarassing for us a long time ago, my friend. They're expected.
