This is my first post on this forum. I’m not really a Nationals fan, but I’ve been following their games since Bryce Harper was called up.

I’ve been involved with youth travel baseball for several years.  When Harper was 13 years old, he played for a team from Southern California.  I got a chance to watch his team play in a huge tournament in East Tennessee. He was clearly the best player at that tournament. After watching him play at 13, I made a comment that he would become one of the greatest baseball players ever. His talent was undeniable even at that age.

The talent he possesses and the energy he brings to the game will make any true baseball fan become a Bryce Harper fan. You guys are going to have a lot of fun watching him play. Of course, I’m sure you already know that.

Welcome. Cool first post. When my son was 15 he played in a wood bat tournament in Atlanta and Bryce's "San Diego Show" team was there. He was followed around like a rock star. I got to see him AB one time. He struck out looking on a very bad call by the ump. He left the tournament after that, after only six ABs.

People were talking about his BP like it was other worldly. My son still talks about watching him hit in BP. And Bryce was only 14 and was playing up.
