Solid thread formatting.

I will be there. Weather looks sketchy. I might try to post up at a table in the Red Porch if it's drizzling, not sure how fast those tables fill up.

Important outing for Scotty.  He's on the rotational bubble.

Someone educate me:  Why can't he just bump Dunn and Hammer up to 3/4 and bat Guzman lower?  Or even put Guzman back in the two hole?  I've defended Guzman but even I would agree he's not a 3-hitter.

No one knows.

Dibble was saying that Guzman prefers hitting at the top of the lineup and hits better when he's up there.

My inner geek says that 3d is a less important spot in the order than 4th and maybe 5th, and you want a guy who both draws walks and has power hitting 4th.  Next to leadoff, 4th actually leads off innings more than any other position.  3d most frequently comes up with 2 outs and no one on.  Walks aren't as useful there, so the guy who is allergic to walks and makes contact makes some sense.

Having said that, I'd prefer Pudge there.  I am getting a bit tired of babying Guzman.  Lefty Guzman does not seem all that effective.  I'd make the SOB bat 6th and like it.  Finally, I might even think of trying the old "pitcher 8th" trick with Olsen and put Kennedy 9th and Willie 2d.

I would try Pudge at three, but he's given Hammer so much protection there, don't mess up a good thing.  Again I'd like to see Desmond stay in the 2-hole, he was pretty decent there yesterday.

How fragile is Guzman's ego? Just let Desmond takes his spot at the top of the lineup. There is a reason he won the job, he was better with the bat and defensively.

Nope. Not going to complain about it. Whatever happens, happens.

Someone needs to fix the Dodgers lineup. I guess its supposed to be cute... but lets keep it accurate.

Also, Willie is out and Maxwell is starting in RF and batting 8th.

I'm just busting your chops man.  I agree with JCA, Guzman shouldn't be babied.

Seriously? Are our trainers this bad?

Once again the Nats training staff sucks. The Cheap Lerners should have spent that $15 Million on hiring James Andrews instead of Jason Marquis. Yesterday, I remembered how the Nats rushed Flores back and ruined his career.

If the kids are running the bases today - tell them to read today's game preview which includes a great life lesson from Tony Plush

It could be that it started bothering him after he crashed into the wall headfirst yesterday (which he has made a habit of doing).  I do agree with GMU though - the Nats trainers really have botched the Flores' thing...

He took a foul ball off of protective gear. That really shouldn't be career ending.

Scott Olsen is not a good pitcher. Too bad Marquis is injured, because that means we have to endure Scott Olsen for another few months.
