Espinosa or Lombo next year?  Don't think you can keep Steve on the bench for another year.

Lombo. Espinosa is a strike out machine who is useless at the plate. He's a defensive replacement at best.

Christ, sick of this crap.

Didn't Espinosa hit significantly better than Lombo this year?

7 hits.  No runs.  Cardinals are schooling us.  This is torture.

How many stranded runners today? And in the 3 games total? Humiliating.

Quiet you. We don't need your fancy "statistics" and "facts" ruining our rain parade.

Hey, he had bone chips in his elbow and didn't tell his coaches he was in pain (probably due to bone chips in his head).

*Who knows* what he'll look like next year. Maybe like the guy we saw in Spring training...

Basically, this is what HRod would look like if he could throw strikes

The hitting (or lack thereof) was as bad as the starting pitching.  The Cardinals look like the Champions they've been before.  We look like complete novices.

Ordinarily I'd be all over this, but I'm in a pissy mood and I understand your angst.

Nah but he's definitely solid. Much more solid than Lombo slap hitting his way to a .270 average with a .310 obp with zero homeruns and a weaker glove.

Agree.  We look like the team lucky enough to win the play-in game and they look like the team that won 98 games.

For the record, Costas is full of crap.   Maz hit his Game 7 HR at 3:36 PM against the Yankees in 1960.   The games didn't start at 3 PM.
