It's inexcusable to hang a pitch to a pitcher on an 0-2 count.

Especially one who doesn't have a hit all year.  Perez is mediocre.

Perez is a straight up bum.  The sooner we figure this out, the more games we will win.  All downhill from here with him.

About time, damnit. We can't afford to just give away runs with the state our offense is in.

Mock's no hitter has been broken up. He's allowed 1 hit and 0 ER in 6 IP.

I'll except "mediocre," but not "poor." He's given up 1 run in 5 innings. That's good, IMO, no matter how they scored.

He just drove in a run for one but it allows more of a chance that the leadoff hitter will bat with a runner on base later in games.

I have no clue. If he wanted to throw a breaking ball it should have been in the dirt.

It seems like he's gradually coming down to earth.

Wait ... did I say "gradually"?

But in truth it's sad that he can dominate (more or less!) for four and a half innings before just turning into upchuck. And with 84 pitches after 5, I bet Manny puts him in to start the sixth, too.

He's a big fan of certain players getting crapted on in games to "make a statement" about how crappy they are.

Maybe not with a runner on 3rd but still. It was ridiculous. Also, he is awful with base runners. That stolen base was huge. Of course Suppan is owning our crappy offense.

To give your team two leadoff hitters. It's to benefit the top of your lineup (run producers) more than anything. I've never liked it, but a couple of teams do it.

Dukes could be as bad of a hitter that has ever played the game.  He makes D. Jimenez look like Ted Williams.

You were close to being right, Ronnynat. They took Mock out after 6 innings despite only throwing 88 pitches and being dominant.  :?

Final line: 6 IP 1 H 0 R 0 ER 2 BB 5 SO
