As others have mentioned, radar shows that Pittsburgh has a break in the precip.  They really could have gotten this game in.

So tonight, the Cardinals started their game against the Reds, and 6 pitches in, storms rolled in and they went into a 2.5-hour rain delay.  And, surprisingly, even though tornadoes damaged the airport and led to numerous road closures in the STL area, they resumed their game.

the airport in STL is a mess, I saw one picture of a bus dangling from a parking garage, lots of windows blown out in the main terminal.

Nats are frustrated, losing a day at home with the family on Monday and instead, flying home after the Monday night game to start a homestand against NY:

So, Desmond to fatherhood list. And to abate any LAC crap, waiting for the rainout gives Desmond another day at home and the team another day of flexibility.

However, Coffey comes back tomorrow. DFA Gaudin THEN? Also, sounds like they want Bixler to stay, hopefully Cora DFA.
