Werth hitting 3rd is a no-brainer for me. He is the best all around hitter on this team right now. He will have better numbers than Ramos when the year is done. Frankly, I would keep him there and put Zim behind at 4 when he gets back. That is, assuming Espy and Ankiel are serviceable at 1 and 2.

And, hey, why didn't they put Desi back at his old #2 spot. Less pressure than leadoff and he is comfortable there.

I would like:

2B Espinosa
SS Desmond
RF Werth
1B LaRoche
C Ramos
LF Morse
CF Ankiel (or flip flop the last two)
3B Hairston

if that works, then when zim comes back:

2B Espinosa
SS Desmond
3B Zimmerman
1B LaRoche
RF Werth
C Ramos
LF Morse
CF Ankiel

Anyone having trouble viewing the Brewers logo?

were the storm clouds over Nats park intentional?

Tonight is about as "must win" as this team gets.

Those work form. Morse at #7. My, how he has fallen in 2 weeks.

I'm watching MLB Network (on mute) and they're saying something about the Phillies pitchers and showed highlights from Halladay's and Lee's complete games.

This is another reason why the Phillies series was so bad.  The Nationals have been the baseball equivalent of posterized.

And they're back to Cliff Lee (mute still on)

I don't mean to be disrespectful in any way, but this 42 every year is a bit over the top.   I prefer the Homestead/Washington uni's as a tribute to pre-47.    Almost all fans know J. Robinson but how many remember Josh Gibson, Cool Papa, etc.?

Good pitch.

Why don't we have names on the back of our jerseys tonight? Looks terrible.

Caught a bit of a Brewers game about a week ago on MLBEI.  The Brewers TV guy said "boy, Nyjer Morgan can hit."  I thought hmmm.  Just you wait.
