Scoring 14 runs in the first game of a 4 game series is bad luck

It's not like we didn't score plenty last night.  But yeah, this sucks.

So I guess the book on this team is now "neutralize Zimmerman and the rest will fall"

It would be interesting to see what teams' records are in the third series of a three series road trip.  I'll bet it's well under .500.

The Phillies-Braves series that just ended was the Phillies third series of a three series road trip, I believe.

You know who else strikes out a lot?

The Jays, they've scored the second most runs in baseball.

They've all been pitching around him the whole series.

All of you whining and crying and nagging about Lannan all freaking night - I just want you to remember everything that Desmond contributed.

Can I get a second, on my contention that this is the most embarrassing loss of the season?

Yeah, and he started sucking as soon as the announcers compared him to Jeter and spooged all over.

Tonight, Desmond makes me long for (fill in the blank of any terrible shortstop the Nats have had).

So apparently the 3rd run on Lannan goes down as earned.  I don't get that.  Didn't he go home on the bad throw by Desmond?

I'm sure they'll change the scoring to 2 ER later.

Don't be fooled by Rodriguez's stats... he's a great pitcher.

This will be a very tough game to win.

Yep.

He's definitely having a down year... but he's been fantastic in the past, and he can certainly do it again.

Yep.
