Well, at least this gives me time to read this Rhode Island lead case. I was looking for an excuse not to. Fun times. :?

I never said send him down. I just said that the reality is that he was/is not ready for a full time starting role at this level right now.
His numbers prove otherwise. Flores will be fine. Manny definitely freaked with him by moving him in the clean-up spot. That was stupid.

OT: Anyone here see WALL-E yet? I'm hearing nothing but great things about it.

Yeah I saw it yesterday. It had a very sweet kind of humor and it really shed some light on some of the problems we're facing. There's really no talking for half the movie, but they still kept it really funny.

LOL. That was pretty..interesting. Never heard that song before.

I was at this show in the front row. This is still the most intense song I've ever heard live. It's my favorite band, too.

2:15-3:35 is freaking AWESOME.

VERY COOL, I also like DMB version of All Along the Watchtower.  This is one that I love, Stevie Ray, don't know how he does it...

Bob Wills is considered the King of Western Swing. The Festival of American Folklife wraps up this weekend and they have The Quebe Sisters Band , which is a cross between Bob Wills and the Andrew Sisters. Like I said I like weird. One of my friends owns Blues Alley so I get to hear a lot of non main stream music.

Just watched, I love SR.  The part around 1:10 made my spine shiver.  I have never heard of Dick Dale, probably because of my age, but I am sure I have heard him before.  Cool clip, though, with all the old surfing movies.  I think I saw a Gidget reference in there, amongst others.

Joey Chestnut retained his Nathan's July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island, New York, today.  He and six-time champion, Takeru Kobayashi of Japan, TIED at 59 dogs after 10 minutes. Chestnut finished first in a 5-dog overtime.

Dick Dale is the King of Surf Guitar (notice that he's a lefty). If you like surf music, you ought to check him out.

Oh yeah, I know this one, just never knew who it was (always wanted to know).  Tarantino uses this in a few movies I believe.

Judging by the radar on Accuweather, it looks like the storm will be cleared out of the Cincinnati area within the next 20-30 minutes.

USA!  USA!  USA!

A LOT of the crowd was shouting that.  But they also love Kobayashi for his tremendous eating capacity.  He's even made television commercials as a result of his 6 wins.

They discovered that the first contest in 1919 was a 10-minute match, and cut the previous 12 minutes to meet it for 2008.  59 hot dogs in 10 minutes!!!!  Chestnut set the record of 66 in 12 minutes in 2007.  The top two work out and do abdominal exercises.  The officials wear old-time straw hats, standing next to pretty girls in short skirts.  ESPN often repeats it as part of the All Star game festivities.  It serious eating before a big Coney Island crowd, having a fun time.

I have always found it quite ridiculous that ESPN gives coverage to hot dog eating, it seems like something that would belong on "the OCHO"
