Great Wall of China(town).

...the Great Wall of Assists (actually maintained in the west-end club level, each matchnight).

Wizards winning right now late in the 4th against the Nuggets.  Good game from Beal and Wall, though Wall had too many turnovers.

I still have to point out that Vesely has played 2 minutes, has zero points and zero rebounds.  Has taken 2 shots and both were blocked.  Also has committed one foul.

Wiz won and Wall saved the game with a block at the end.  They might really be non-terrible as long as Wall stays healthy.  Now the question shifts to the state of his knees.  I hope he's OK and he doesn't have any kind of degenerative or long term issue.

Beal looks like a good player.  Nene is a good player.  Webster is servicable.  They have some pieces they could trade for another good player, so maybe they are on to something.

its nice to see them look like a competent team. but since this season is so far gone, I can't help but think that taking it easy with Nene and Wall to save them for a run next year and beyond might be prudent. plus, maybe you can end up with a higher pick.  if they play well the rest of the way, they could end up with a 10+ pick and a damaged Nene

I think you are right - they might as well try to lose more.  Problem is, they might be too good to get a really high draft pick.  They look great since Wall has been back.  Last night, they nearly stole one from one of the best teams in the league even though they were playing on the road and had just played the night before.

Looks like Sacramento is moving to Seattle - does everyone who screamed about okc stealing a beloved team from Seattle now scream about Seattle stealing a beloved team?

Not at all.  Clay Bennett flat-out lied to everybody in Seattle when he bought the team.  He said he would try everything possible to keep the team in Seattle but moved the team only a year later.  After the move some e-mails between Bennett and minority owners showed that he was planning on moving the team all along.  Chris Hansen, the face of the group buying the Kings, has been clear in his intent to bring a team to Seattle.  I feel bad for Kings fans as this situation would not be happening if they were not stuck with the terrible Maloofs as owners but the situations are totally different.

So because the owners are upfront about screwing them the situation is different (even though the kings had a signing ceremony at center court with the league and ownership to announced a new arena deal - that the team and league backed out of?)  I never knew Seattle fans were mad about being lied to not losing their team

seattle was cheated, no one argues that, but they're getting a team from another fan base that has been screwed over buy it's owners- that makes most of those fans hypocrites if they root for they new team. Hopefully Simmons refers to them as the Zombie-Kings now (since he' had a hard on for bashing OKC ever since they got the team)

Seattle fans aren't hypocrites if they root for the new Sonics. What pissed off Seattle fans was the way the new owner flat out lied to the city.  When it comes to the Kings, their blame in Chris Hansen and the new ownership group is unfounded as all he did was buy a struggling franchise to move to his city.  The only people for Sac fans to blame is the Maloofs.

so they would have been cool with it if the new owners had just said 'we're leaving' from the beginning? Somehow I doubt that

[...]What pissed off Seattle fans was the way the new owner flat out lied to the city.[...]

Sort of like Robert Irsay shortly after New Year's of 1984...he had been travelling round the country showcasing his Colts to various (destination) cities, then when he got back to Baltimore he held a press conference...with a quite noticeable bit of adult beverage in him he blurted into the mike 'I have no intentions of moving the God damned team'...two months later, the Mayflower vans came.

Seattle was, in fact, their third option - earlier they had looked into moving them to Vegas, then to Anaheim.

Seattle will be in good position. The Kings roster has very few good players. When they fire Geoff Petrie, they can hire a new GM who actually is sentient, suck for a few years, make smart draft picks, and get better using the OKC method. Should take about three years, starting next year.

I will admit that the Kings have had absolutely crap luck in the lotto recently, but some of that can be put on Petrie being silly.

The Utah Jazz need to be renamed or moved.  The closest thing to jazz in Utah is the creaking of The Garment during procreative congress with junior wives.

No but that has in part led to the grudge that Seattle fans still bear to this day and will continue to bear without our records, championship, and Durant.

They won't have a team, but because their crap owners decided to sell it does not in any way make it Hansen's fault.
