Snow for Thurs?  The NAM model shows some snow in D.C. (below), other models showing snow staying further south.

I hope so! Let it snow!

Wish it was about 7-10° colder right now.

I'll believe it when it happens.  I'd bet money on nothing but nasty cold rain and maybe a little slush.

Washington Post CWG:

Quote
Winter storm watch issued by NWS for DC Thurs for 5 inches or more snow. We DISAGREE. More here: http://wapo.st/XeeCYb

Wxrisk also says it will stay to our south.  They are both saying 1-3" is more likely than anything larger.

I'm going to assume the difference here is that a guy announced 5 inches or more and Wxrisk is a woman saying 3", nothing larger.

I make the weather! All of this moisture coming up out of the Gulf is gonna push off to the east and hit Altoona.

Looks like a whole lot of nothing now, maybe up to an inch in the DC area.  Our weather folks are having a bad week :|

I would be surprised if we had any accumulating snow this winter.  Perhaps ever again.

Don't worry.  We'll get a few 10" storms a decade and nothing else.
