Storms coming in from the west and expected to hit DC around 6:45-7:00.  Expect another rain delay.

Not trying to make an excuse already but I hope people don't freak out on this site if Atlanta takes the series. And it won't be the end of the world if we get swept. We would still be in first place.. That being said I hope we destroy the Braves and start making them relize the Nats have the NL east under control.

Charlie and Dave said yesterday that this may be the most important series since the Nationals moved to Washington.  That said, and I mentioned it yesterday, the worst we can do is come out with the lead still at two games.  We will be in first place after this series no matter what.  Still, these are big games and will likely set the tone for the rest of the season.  An eight-game lead gives us a lot of breathing room...

You're kidding, right? People here freak out if our closer lets a guy hit a long fly ball in a game where we're up by three. ;)

At least in the game day threads.

A sweep in favor of the Nationals would be swell.

Channel 4 says it's a line of showers and should be through in about 1/2 hour.    Maybe it'll rain out Wood.

Raining like a mofo here in the wilds of Oakton.

I think it's a huge freaking deal if the Nationals get swept. They need to win this series. They need to make  a statement to the Braves. You're talking about a young, weak minded team with skittish pitching and a poor manager.  It's time to put the nail in the coffin.
