the Reddit discussions about Interstellar are pretty fascinating.

It might be worth another trip to Udvar-Hazy to see it again.

Thanks, I took my teenage son and daughter this afternoon there to see it.  As I told them at dinner time, it was eerily similar to our family, a heroic dad, a brilliant if rebellious daughter and a slightly dull son.

We did leave with a lot of questions for sure.

most of it is pretty soundly based in science, but from the point where he enters the black hole forward, it's a bit of a stretch.

SpaceX had to abort its own launch today of a resupply mission.  After the Orbital Sciences blowup this one is really needed.

Rescheduled for Friday.

Hmmm  ...  might have to take a walk up the hill this evening to see what I can see.

"Space Weather branch chief Brent Gordon said if the storm effects continued through Tuesday evening, there was a "very strong possibility" that the northern lights could be seen as far south as the middle United States, even Tennessee and Oklahoma."

I just walked the missus out to the car and looked to the north  ...   nothing.    I may walk out around 10 (Immaculate Reception replay is on NFL TV :) ).     There's a hill which is pretty immune to light clutter.     I'll report back at that time.    This is mitlen, NBC4 news.
