Given it's strikeout night for Dunn, maybe Manny should have put Willie Harris in. He would have caught that and thrown it in before the guy could tag.
stupid slow bastard

Tavarez is a nibbler. he doesn't throw strikes. ship his ass out of here. same with Kip Wells and Mike Hinckley. and Logan Kensing. and Joel Hanrahan.

Willie would have eaten that up

Acta has subbed in close games in the past and it has come back to bite him. Tonight he doesn't and it comes back to bite him anyway.

He's bad, but he's not that bad.

nice to see Tavarez give it up. he's not very good. it's laughable that we are putting guys like him and Kip Wells in the game in crucial situations. they are just as bad if not worse than Hanrahan and Rivera.

I cannot wait until the morning I wake up and find out that Acta & St. Claire are gone.  i'm tired of seeing this blank stare on their faces as we self destruct each night

Yes Julian, walking a hitter under .200 for his career is a GREAT move!

hrm. i guess we'll be getting a Minty/SF "Dunn is worthless" thread in a few, right? (assuming that Dunn missed a ball just now)

Ballgame.

Los Nacionales 4
Careenulls 5

Top of da 9th.

We specialize in screwups.

Yes, I have the Cardeenulls closer, Ryan Franklin, on my fantasy team.  And yes, he HAS a FAKE BEARD.

the cards have a guy in their pen that hasnt given up a run in 10 appearances - can u imagine such a thing? we had a guy who was like that in st and in 2 appearances in the majors, but we sent him to the minors

I'd prefer Colome. He wasn't this bad. Colome picked up the save for Syracuse tonight. He has yet to allow a hit or a run for the Chiefs so far in 4 innings. 4 IP 0 H 0 R 0 ER 1 BB 4 K. Too bad we can't call him up for 2 weeks.

He didn't miss a ball. The left handed hitter hit a ball a couple of feet off the left field line and he could not get there from where he was positioned. To blame Dunn for that is asinine.

How can a closer have not allowed a run all season?  How is that even possible!!!
