Zimmerman not playing will fuel the run. Zimmerman is a looser. :stir:

This is from the nationals website:

http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20110419&content_id=17984486&vkey=news_was&c_id=was

"I'm going to reverse the catching. I'll catch Pudge in the first game. No particular reason for that," Riggleman said. "Then, I might do some other things. Everything else will probably be the same. I might make one other change. I don't know yet."

'NO PARTICULAR REASON'

I throw pebbles at trashcans for no particular reason...
Riggleman, should you be making moves on this ball club just because your bored?

Desmond is batting 5th in today's game and Nix 6th.  I'm sorry, but that just doesn't give us the best chance to win.  Desmond is not a 5th place hitter in this league.

If Desmond has a great game and/or we win, I'll gladly eat crow, but I think Riggleman needs to make sure he's putting the team in a position for success before worrying about resting players this early in the season.  We've had more off-days than any other MLB team so far and there's no reason several of our guys can't play both games.

haha with morse not out of the line-up and ramos missing from it as well, we have no fifth place hitter.  nix/pudge/desmond all aren't five hitters.

'Dear God,

If the Nationals win these next two games and take first place in NL East, I will never do anything wrong again.

Amen.'

Since it's Passover . . .

Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu melech ha-olam if the Nationals win these next two games and take first place in NL East, I will never do anything wrong again.

Amen.

Desmond-Nix-Pudge-Cora-Lannan 5-9 in the lineup. Ouch, black hole after black hole.

What part of Nix is hitting very well in a part-time role do you not understand?

When Wil completed batting practice Sunday, a group of us shouted out to him "Wil!" He turned to see about 20 people waving and cheering him, gave an appreciative wave back.

I have a feeling we might lose today. I want to win so bad and I've waited for so long. It only seems fitting that we get spanked. Murphy's Law...
