That's the most anticlimactic extra innings win I've ever seen.

They should be punching the Astro that committed the error.

Boneheaded play.  He could have just eaten the ball and delayed the defeat for another batter.

It's a win.  We'll take it.  But why was he making that throw in the first place?

We've had our fair share in the other direction the past few years...

We're actually going to end up winning this game. Or rather the Astros are going to end up losing this one.

...and why did the 3B even try to throw? Runner was safe at second even on a clean throw. Still, looks like a win.

Why talk to Storen?  He didn't get a win/save.

Really though, I don't think there was anyone to talk to special so anybody would do, I guess.

No, it was an admin feature in 1.1, but 2.0 added a lot of extra moderation stuff and some of it is stuff that previously only existed in the admin panel.

...and it was not not uncommon, and is still legal, for a tailback or fullback to take the snap, run wide, drop the ball, and kick a field-goal when the ball touches the ground. Called a drop-kick. Has to touch the ground or else it's a punt. Some time in the '30s the made the football more pointed, so drop-kicks became very tough. We used to practice it when we were about ten...never saw anybody try it.

Oh, and to make this Nats-relevant, maybe...the Nats and the Redskins used to play a touch football game just at the end of the baseball regular season. Each team in their home uniform, hats and helmets. Today's kids have a Presidents' Race...we had Chuck Stobbs at QB. (maybe Stobbs...I can't remember...)

By the way, there is a great You-tube of an NFL Films production called "Did you ever see Sonny play?" Well worth it.

That was awesome! The saddest part of that video was when the narrator says that Jurgensen is never celebrated like Bart Starr or Joe Namath. :lmao:  He goes on to say that it's because Jurgensen never won a championship. All the morons who equate greatness at the position with SB titles should be forced to watch that video. That the ESPN mentality though.

I don't know from where this conversation originated (didn't read the GDT), but Flutie did a drop kick extra point five-ish years ago for us.
