Thanks for nothing, N2P. Mets just tied SF off of Casilla
You need to watch this news,
Chief, to
see if Casilla is injured. They did bring him in as their closer. But he only allowed an infield single and was immediately relieved. He was responsible for the runner on 1st, but he only scored because of the rat bastard
RP Lopez:
Bottom of 9th Santiago Casilla pitching for San Francisco SF NYM
S Casilla relieved J Affeldt. 3 2
B Belt at first base. 3 2
J Bay reached on infield single to shortstop. 3 2
L Duda hit for S Hairston. 3 2
J Lopez relieved S Casilla. 3 2
L Duda flied out to right. 3 2
J Bay to second on wild pitch by J Lopez. 3 2
K Nieuwenhuis walked. 3 2
J Thole singled to right,
J Bay scored, K Nieuwenhuis to third.
EDIT: Lopez is a lefty, and the PH who drove in the run bats left, so maybe they were tinkering with that, which is not always a good idea. You don't mess with your closer's head that way, as we saw with Chad Cordero. You let him pitch through it.
Giants take the lead in the 10th over the Mutts 4-3!
