It's nice that you are still all jazzed about that.

Thanks!  We know it was a huge big deal.  They let him walk into and out of the dugout, hangout in the on-deck circle and really made a neat fuss over him.  This won't be forgotten any time soon!

get a load of this:

Quote
On strike: Shortstop Felipe Lopez announced on Tuesday that he is no longer talking to the media. The relationship between the two parties became strained after Lopez made three critical errors in the last four games of the recent road trip.

After the last game of the road trip, a reporter told Lopez that he looked unsure of himself on the field. Lopez immediately ended the interview and has not talked to the media since.

The 6-pitch inning could be beneficial.  Willis is at 102 pitches, and The Fred will probably send him out for another inning.  Willis's horrible ERA hit's it's peak at this point - 6.10 after 100 pitches.

Man, you're a stats machine when it comes to the Marlins, huh?

He may catch a break from me if he produced with more regularity but he doesn't.

Dig this one:

Bacsik on hand to distribute supplies
Pitcher distributes school supplies collected at recent drive
By Michael Phillips / MLB.com

WASHINGTON -- Nationals pitcher Mike Bacsik was greeted enthusiastically at Kimball Elementary School on Tuesday. Then an ugly truth slipped out.
"It's football season, and I'm a Cowboys fan," Bacsik said. "These kids are Redskins fans, so we had some good conversations."

Bacsik was on hand to represent the Nationals as the team distributed supplies it collected during a recent school supply drive at RFK Stadium.

The Fred makes it easy.  He'll keep a pitcher in way too long.  Willis has had a few quality starts that have ended up horribly.  I guess they are then quality blows.

He may catch a break from me if he produced with more regularity but he doesn't.

What's funny, though, is that he started doing well right after that supposedly happened.

Doesn't matter what happens.. We never had a chance from the start tonight.  It wasn't our destiny to win this game
