Wauw, 1-2-3 for Ryan with 3K's.

Now it's time for some offense. Zimmy go for it!

Ryan Wagner is up. He looks good. It seems we got a very good deal with the Reds. And he is only 23.
He's in urgent need of some polishing...The Reds tried to make him change his delivery and messed him up.  Hopefully he can return to pre-Reds form.

Livan has retired 19 of the last 20.  There were lots of rumors that we'd trade him to the Mets.  I'm glad he didn't go to any NL East team.

I wonder why they didn't just build a multi-use stadium for baseball and NFL football here.  The cost of a retractable roof to deal with the heat had to be high for both teams.  The Phoenix Cardinals have sold out their newly opened stadium for the whole year, after having the worst attendance for years.  They didn't have a home opener for 18 years because of the extreme heat.

Johnson woulda had a homer if it hadn't been to the deepest part of the park.  DAMNIT...we are quickly running out of opportunities here.

Multi-use stadiums suck beans.  And roofs are over-rated...cost WAY too much for too little benefit.  Unless you live somewhere with lots of rain or extreme climate - it's not worth the headache.

We have two soccer stadiums here with retractable roofs.
But it's raining a lot here, so that makes sense.
And the are both used for concerts.
In Amsterdam the Admirals are also playing (Am. football)

The Lerners are now trying to figure out why they paid $450 million for a team that is now OWNED by Livan Hernandez...

The Phoenix Cardinals September games often had a heat index of 120 degrees F.  The former Expos owner, who now owns the Marlins, wants a free retractable roof stadium built for him in Miami.  There is no state income tax in Florida and he's not going to get a free stadium.  But a cooler place to play would help attendance there.  (Washington should have gotten a team before Miami.)  I agree that multi-use stadiums are not ideal, but they beat raking the taxpayers over the coals for free stadiums to help rich, pampered owners get richer.

Zim saved a run there, not that it matters, but that was a nice stab

He gets out of trouble.

Now how about some serious offense!
Hits, walks, get hit, anything, just to get on base.

Livan's at 93 pitches, so it is possible to hit him for 4 or 5 runs.

I'm sure all those baseball fans in Florida will make sure that happens.
