I don't understand this thread. And why is it still breathing? Lock this crap up and ban the idiot that started it.

Nice to see you aren't still bickering with PaNatsFan.

This thread is perfect. A month or so ago we were saying he should be sent down, now we're all kicking ourselves in the ass  for ever thinking it.

Be we I meant several of us. But yeah, that included me.

I'm happy to say I was wrong.

By we you mean you?

Seriously, all he does is hustle, hit, gun out runners, and spark the team. Send him down NOW.

The behavior really isn't acceptable. It was the funny the first couple times, but now it is ridiculous. I think Bryce Harper is a good person off the field, but on it he is the anti-Ryan Zimmerman.

I think the team is prepared to handle him struggling at the plate, but if he acts like a butt hurt 19 year old when things go badly he'll wear on them.

Love Bryce, but I think he is cracking under the pressure. No judgement, because I am not much older than him and I doubt I could handle the pressure if I was dropped into a playoff race tomorrow.

Dumbass.

^ Don't be so harsh on yourself. You got caught up in the moment and allowed a total idiot to mislead you. Be careful who you follow.

Maturity wise, he wasn't ready. Skill wise, clearly, he's there.

If this were last year, Bryce never would have been called up. But we're in a playoff hunt and we need his bat. This is also where we're hoping a guy like Werth earns his paycheck with his "veteran" status.

His maturity is fine.

One of these is really important, the other not so much.

He was brought up when we were plagued with injuries. Who would have been brought up in his place IN April? I guess Merry Tyler Moore about 2 weeks earlier.  ;)

A cleverly crafted before-and-after comparison of our offense would probably prove that Bryce Harper saved the Nats :stir:

Bryce Harper is a key cog in the wheel. But he didn't save the Nats. This season is just such a team effort. Without even looking at the rotation or bullpen.

The best hitter on the team is Ryan Zimmerman. It was important that he got going and he did.
Getting Morse back gave us a boost.
Any time Desmond wasn't playing the offense noticeably suffered.
Getting Werth back was a great boost too.
LaRoche quietly keeps things going when other guys are out.
Bryce Harper is a great sparkplug and a solid guy to have at the plate, on the basepaths, and in the field. He's spent more time this year being good than being bad.
Adding Suzuki was a smart move that is paying off it seems.
Lombo, The Shark, Espinosa, Tyler Moore... those guys are solid role players.

Championship caliber lineup and Harper at 19 is a key part of it.

The Nats offense didn't really take off until Werth got back. :stir:
