Dude...take off your Nats glasses.  No way you view this objectively and stick up for Harper.

And I am a HUGE Harper fan.

I know this from personal experience - I nearly got tossed from my skeeball league for taking my umbrella to a shuffleboard table after a bad game. But I also know that you can improve your control, and getting tossed from this game will help Harper do that.

LOL

I'm not sticking up for Harper - I'm 100% against that freaking clown Buchnor

I sometimes feel Harper could go Leonard Little on people and wouldn't get criticized by some on WNFF.

While others pounce on any reason to criticize.  Some will even criticize a player because the player is liked by an unpopular  poster.  As if the player had anything to do with WNFF petty rivalries.

I think any and all concerns I've ever made about Bernadina/Flores have proven valid.

Highly doubtful

But it's pointless because it's impossible to prove

Meh whatever

Bryce probably deserved it -  I just cannot stand CB Buchnor, he's right up there with Angel Hernandez - constantly making himself the center attention.

Agree with both.  I've umpired a bit in rec ball and one of the very first things they preach is that a good game is a game where you're not even noticed.  Buchnor is a poor umpire, he let a player get to him...you've got assume the player is frustrated with himself, and Bryce didn't even look at Buchnor.  However, Bryce needs to learn to cool it, recall his rep as a bit of a prima donna in the minors, he needs to remember he's still a rookie.

I don't think he was acting like a Primadonna.  He was acting like a Frustrated kid that he got out!

Yes he has to learn to contain it, but its containing frustration; not acting.

You are expecting too much.  Just think about when you were 19.

When I was 19, I was not slamming batting helmets down after hitting in to a double play. I wasn't destroying helmets in the dugout. I didn't smash a bat in to the wall only to have the splinters injury me. I learned how to control my anger and vent in an acceptable manner at an acceptable time. Bryce has not.

Passion is fine. Letting it completely control you is not.

Alright he got tossed.  Whatever.  I like the emotion on the field, I don't care if it was classless or not.  Seems like lots of players on this team vent some frustration out there, mainly JDub.

I don't care that he got tossed because he will learn from it, just like Strasburg will learn, and he better learn, from his last start.  Mistakes happen and good players and good PEOPLE learn from those mistakes so they don't make them again in the future.

Harper did win this game with his bat though, and between him and Drew Storen, they stopped the spiral down the dumper.  Hooray for a Curly W!

Drew was audacious - that was awesome in so many ways -mostly because if he can pitch like that? He's back baby - Yikes - I like that just fine

Congrats for being a model citizen at age 19.  You know some people don't all mature at the same rate.  The kid has never been shut down before in his life.  He never has met failure so he never been humbled by anything which probably stunted his maturity a bit.  I say by age 21 if he is still doing stupid immature crap, that is when fans can rag on him but right now just take the lumps.  Fans are already expecting him to produce at the MLB level and to ACT well above his maturity level.  I feel like most teenagers aren't in the type of situation Bryce is in.  Again, give him time to grow and if he is acts like a baby by age 21, bring him out to the woodshed and unleash hell.
