Postponed guys!  Stras tomorrow.  Big and Rich replaces Dierks Bently due to family illness.  Possible reschedule in August.

Ha!   You forget all the times we make other teams' bums look like Cy Young.  There are no easy wins.

How do rainout tickets work out?

Do we have to go to the re-scheduled game?
Can we exchange for a different game?
Exchanging, I guess, means going to the box office which is not going to happen anyway.

Does the parking garage ticket work on the new date?

Thanks.

From what I understand you can exchange it for any non-top tier game that is not sold out.

But, again, I assume that means I have to go to the stadium box office ... and I am never anywhere near there (except when attending a game).

RL04:

In the event a game is not played due to weather, guests are asked to retain their tickets.  The ticket will serve as a rain check for the re-scheduled game or may be exchanged for the same priced seat at a future Nats home game during the 2012 season.

I hope that helps

I used to go the Pentagon City Champps (it's right on the bus route from my neighbourhood to the Metro) back in RFK days for lunch before Sunday afternoon Nats matches...stopped going there though after they stopped doing cheese-free burgers,

---

Today marks the seventh anniversary of the start of the greatest era to date in post-relocation Nationals history...the period from 2nd June through 3rd July 2005  in which they went 23-5 and drew huge crowds night after night...the absolute zenith of the -05 Overachievers!

Could a new era of this scale be waiting round the corner?

I'm wondering the same thing.

From team's Facebook:

"Regarding tonight's Nats-Braves postponement: The game will NOT be made up during this homestand. More info at nationals.com as it’s available."

PS: I can't get the team's web page to open.

No official word, but the consensus last night seemed to be toward an August make-up date - which would probably necessitate a twi-nighter like we're doing for the Marlins make-up since the Braves' August visit is a weekight (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday) series - we have an open date on the following Thursday (23rd) but the Braves start a series at San Francisco that day so that's not an option. Sort of a pity they ruled out this coming Monday though, since that's an open date for both teams.

[I have difficulties with the club site too - like mlb.com-based sites generally it's rather 'busy' with imbedded videos, auto-refreshes and the like - still not as bad as NHL sites]

---

Capital Weather Gang today has 'Daytime games can start becoming rather hot by this time of year, but not this one. Soak up the sunshine and pleasant temperatures' - with temperatures in the 70's throughout and 2% chance of rain.

Watching the Nats' show on MASN this morning, Wood mentioned that the players' association is now part of the equation on rescheduling.    Used to be management (home team) would simply designate a date and time.   With the new bargaining arrangements, Wood mentioned there may be as long as several days to a week before a decision is made.

Awful.    I was surfing when Wood came up with something that actually mattered.   I was freakin' stunned.

This has apparently been the case for a while - I remember when one of our recent Cubs away matches hung in the balance due to weather, Charlie Slowes was remarking on the broadcast that Drew Storen (apparently Nats player rep at the time) was doing quite a bit of shuttling back and forth between the two clubhouses, as a decision was being worked out.

It's first time I heard about it (which doesn't mean much  :) ).   It was an interesting thing for Wood to mention.   He talked about the player reps having to check with their teams and getting with  management to determine a time that was "good" for everyone.    He said Sunday and Monday were probably ruled out because they're part of the "get away" portion of the series.
