Any one here think Esco might be our solidified starter in CF for the second half of the season (with byrd slipping in there every now and then)?

I think ill answer my own question with an enthusiastic YES!

Jon "the Giant" Rauch gets a standing ovation, as Gary "D'Artagnan" Majewski relieves him.

I liked him before he got injured.  He had an OBP of over .400 in April and was batting .400 or close to it.  He almost got a homer yesterday too.  Maybe a yard away from the CF fence.  I wasn't sure what his injury was...

Gary's and Brian's mound visit conversation:

Gary: So, Brian, what should I throw?
Brian: Well, you have a 95+mph fastball and no other pitches, so how about this.
Gary: What is it?
Brian: Just throw it as hard as you can at home plate and pray.

It would be a real boost as we desperately need outfielders but it would take a very brave GM to pencil Alex in as starting CF next season even IF he plays well and stays healthy the rest of this season.

Nobody has ever questioned his talent, but his injury history is horrible (tho its hard not to like him as some of it was just freakish and didn't look like it was conditioning related).

Got to figure this season is about his last chance at establishing some sort of major league career.

When you have a bullpen that's been used as much as this one has, especially this past week  :x , you never know what you're going to get!
