But nobody was on base at the time.  We were suggesting a bunt to avoid a double play.  Coincidence.

Hernandez tripled to deep right, Harris scored.
Nieves singled to center, Hernandez scored.

nacionales 4
pirates 5

 :woop: :panic:

Actually I mentioned it a couple of days before in another thread and my comment was in reference to bunting for hits.

I'm barely paying attention at this point. I'll probably clean the house or do some work in a bit. If people on this board have stopped caring, and they can clearly not get 10k fans on tshirt Tuesday, things are going very very wrong.

it's all part of the plan.

No reason at all for Fat Ronnie to be on a roster.

Yikes

As with everyone here I'm sure affinities are (or would have been?) highly dependent on individual senses of humor.

Considering what a nuthouse this board is I'm sure it's entertainment value for them.

I think most of the anglo players read the forums, along with the broadcasting teams.

Carpenter made a comment at the Balester event last year that indicated he knew who I was, though which forum was not clear.  Bergmann was very familiar with the beachball theme per my conversation in Camden Yards last year with him.  I've heard from another source that most of the 2008 pitching staff were reading the forum and were familiar with individual posters, having favorites and ones they didn't like.

AZ was right - should have started Belliard.

Dunn's mom looks younger than I would have guessed.

Dunn can pitch, release Cabrera!

I don't think Manny is fundamentally aware of what's happening.  Martis would be better to pitch another inning even if Belliard had hit a homerun, but he wasn't going to anyway.

The bullpen is going to give up runs, regardless of how many we score.  Pitching Martis another inning would give the bullpen one less inning to blow the game....which they're going to do anyway.  :?

Nieves has been decent filling in for Flores but let's face it, we miss Flores and Dukes.

She was likeable, but I wouldn't want her sitting behind me at a game.  She'd be hollering and pounding on your shoulders and spilling beer and the like.

I wish they would grant us the same entertainment courtesy considering the nuthouse that is going on down on the field.

Hey Adam, you heard it here first.  Tom was talking smack about your mom.

Basically what I said a page ago.  Am I the only one that actually READS the whole game thread? :P

I agree with this line of thinking.  We may have gained another run, but it wasn't likely.  What is likely is that the relievers will give up more runs.  The offense is potent enough to score again in the game but not leaving Martis in, who was rolling through batters, was a huge mistake.
