Wasn't this fellow at AAA Syracuse last year?*

Glad to see Wirkin Estevez is going to get some wirk in ( :rimshot: ) and glad my high school's star player, Russell Moldenhauer, is still in our system.

*EDIT: Yes. In fact, he's been in Syracuse this year, hitting .240ish on a recovery from a PED suspension. At age 30.

Estevez!

:az:

My thoughts exactly surprised they didn't send him to the GCL for his first assignment state side. He must've really been impressive in extended spring training.

Anyone got a link to who has signed so far?

Wondering specifically about the chances of Stubbs and Deion Williams getting signed.

This is Baseball America's draft database.

It's usually up-to-date... but it hasn't updated any of the Nats signings, as of yet.

Nothing official, but from the Auburn Citizen link above, we know those guys are on the team

I would not hold your breath on hearing about many of the HS guys until mid/late July. The rounds that they drafted HS was later so I'd imagine most of those guys are going to be later signings

Stubbs is headed to the Cape (Cotuit) so my guess is he will be a later signing

The Cod League rosters don't list Matt Purke. That could be bad news.

Seems to me he's hinting that he thinks Purke is not healthy enough to pitch in the Cod... or is resting him arm for a return to TCU.

Will probably be at a Cotuit game next week, I'll try to keep an eye out.

I have been searching for info about Purke, but haven't found anything. He played on Falmouth last year. He's not on their roster and I haven't found any news about him heading up there. Maybe taking some time off before reporting?

You sir, have been reported to the authorities and will be deported from the UK forthwith for not recognizing a picture of Jezza.

Anyone know the terms for Skole?
I saw this from Byron Kerr - http://www.masnsports.com/byron_kerr/2011/06/balester-returns-to-nationals-throwing-changeup-more-often.html

---------
Notes: The Nationals' fifth-round draft selection, third baseman Matt Skole, visited Nationals Park. The Georgia Tech star met with team personnel and doctors and got a tour of the clubhouse and the facilities. Skole will report to short-season Single-A Auburn, which begins play June 17.
