Damn, you could put Flores in a box and use him for a subwoofer.

Play Jesus in LF.  Cut DeRosa.  Bring back Pudge.

Flores will probably remain Jackson's personal catcher for a while. They seem to have something going.

Got that right.  Riggles didn't want to match up certain catchers with particular pitchers but I wonder if DJ has the same policy.

Just realized we play a 4-game series against the Astros next...  back-to-back 4-game series, that's gotta be pretty rare, right?

That does seem unusual.  But that could be really good for us...the Astros are 3-4 out of the gate, but a lot of people think they're once again a 100+ loss team.

I'm just glad we're playing them at home instead of in that gawdawful bandbox park full of bad memories.  Berkman swung! >:( ;)

As a former pitcher, I loved it when managers would pair me with a catcher that I worked well with.

MLB scheduled a lot of 2-game series last year, which was inefficient, especially if one game got rained out.

We will only play the Reds in 3 more games this season, May 11-13 in Cincinnati.  So try this on for size: If we win Sunday, not only do we SWEEP the 4-game series, we also win the series for the SEASON.

Playing in Houston always sends this team into a tailspin, for some reason.

Things get interesting when Wang returns.  How about a blockbuster trade of Zimmermann?

good win ... the E-Jax signing sure looks good.  Told you the spring performance shouldn't bother anyone.

Thought we had some good ABs after that first inning.  Good work by the guys and yes Rick Eckstein.  Hope the bats are there tomorrow and hope Detwiler can build on his last start and continue this K Street dominance.

I'll be there at the earliest 11:30 tomorrow.

just got back a few minutes ago (stopped for dinner).  what a fantastic game.  we had great seats in 119 (I think a bunch of the player wives/girlfriends were behind us).  The views were great, the staff seems really excited now by the way the team is playing.  The stadium was pretty full, if not a sell-out, it was close.   E-Jax was just filthy.  Zimm is struggling at the plate but made some highlight reel plays at 3rd.  The one-handed grab - wow, just wow.   The team should NEVER let Jackson bunt, he's got too good of a swing to waste it bunting.

Not sure what else to say, I'm just really enjoying going to games in a full park, surrounded by Nats fans, watching a winning ball-club.  Pinch me.
