Fearless Predictions for '06/07

The Caps might make the playoffs.  Then again, they might not.

The Caps won't make a Stanley Cup Run.  Unless they get a defenseman that is of NHL talent.

Someone will criticize Clarke for not being a good captain.

The Verizon Center ushers will continue to be the WORST in the NHL.

The Caps will enjoy a hot stretch.  Some fans will predict a cup.

The Caps will suffer through a slump period.  Some fans will call for Hanlon to be fired.

Caps fans will have a beer or two.

Kolzig will let in some questionable goals 5-hole.

Kolzig will make some spectacular saves down low.

Johnson will let in some bad goals while looking like a goalie who has no clue as to how to play his position.

Someone will bring up the Jagr experiment.

Everyone will pile on.

Caps fans will log on the Caps message board and express a jaundiced opinion on some topic.

Someone will disagree with a linesman's call.

Everyone will complain about overpriced items at the Verizon Center.

Millions will be spent on overpriced items at the Verizon Center.

The Caps won't make a trade.

Ovechkin will make some spectacular plays.  Fans will hail him as the leagues best.

Joe Reekie will laugh at every unfunny comment made by Smokin Al.

Craig Laughlin will continue doing what he does.  Whatever that is.

The Caps will suffer a heartbreaking, controversial loss to the Flyers.

Someone will vent about something written by Tony Kornheiser.

Fans will lament not being able to listen to Caps games on a REAL radio station.  

No one will lament not being able to enjoy Steve Kolbe.

Older fans will die a little inside every time the Caps lose a 3 games to 1 lead in the playoffs.

Someone will bring up the Jagr experiment and Peter Bondra.

Someone will disagree with the point made by the person who brought up the Jagr experiment and Peter Bondra.

Everyone will pile on.

Whatever happens this year, the fans will be back next year.
