They should shut him down until ST so that there is no longer any excuses about injuries exacerbated by coming back too quickly. If he has any type of setback in ST he needs to go the way of TRJPWH.

QFT, we already have enough injury riddled players on this team, there needs to be a point when they just say "ENOUGH".  Sure, Hill is a good (not great) pitcher when healthy, but the risk vs rewards graph on him is becoming more and more skewed towards the risk axis.

The trivia question is wrong if Santo was 23 when he went to the AS game.  Prior was 22 when he went.

We were also 1 pick away from getting SS Gordon Beckham this year. I'm pretty sure the Nats would have taken him too.

From what I read, the Nationals were sold on Tanner Scheppers until he got injured.  That is when they moved to Crow.  Realistically, if Scheppers had remained healthy than Crow would have probably fallen out of the top 10.  I hate the business side of sports.

The reason I asked is because some "experts" think he could be the best catcher in the AL as soon as next season. That's insane. I like Flores and all, but Wieters has Longoria-like power. We need that.

He will be good, no doubt.  I don't know about next year, though.  Without looking at every single game, I think that the Nationals farm teams have actually handled Wieters well this season.

That's crazy. That is a shame but I think Detwiler is going to breakout next year. I might go watch him pitch tonight at Potomac if I feel like it.

I just bought my ticket for the P-Nats first playoff game which he should be pitching in if the rotation holds up the next two weeks (and *knock knock* barring injury).

I just read on MLBTR that the Rockies will probably be shopping Atkins this offseason. He's a third baseman, but he could be our #1 first baseman. He's very solid offensively.

I'm definitely going to at least the first game.

Embarrassing. Let's just get down our knees for the Almighty Rich Harden. That's what the Nats are doing.

I wonder if they will make any other moves to beef up the Potomac roster before the playoffs?

The fact that some are saying he has a chance to be better than Mauer and Martinez by next season is crazy, though. The O's have a lot going for them at this point. The fact that their vets have done so well this season gives them ever more hope for the future. I hope we can get to that point soon.

We will make the playoffs before they do. No doubt. They are so old it's crazy. Very little young talent.

Who could they add? Maybe Espinosa? There isn't much in terms of pitching that they could call up from Hagerstown.
